Getting rest, most importantly sleep, is one of the greatest habits you want to adopt. The science on this is undisputed, as sleep is equally as significant as your water intake. Seven to eight hours is the standard (as any doctor would subscribe), though some opt for an hour more or less based on their energy level and effectiveness to function on a daily basis. Do not take the importance of sleep lightly.

In addition to proper sleep, rest helps to put your control center (your mind) at ease. After a long day this is not an easy task, but a necessary one. Speaking from one of the greatest challenges in my own life, finding ways to relax, disconnect and get hours of rest is a job in itself. One of the key factors to addressing this issue is to end how you start on a positive note. One important aspect of rest is that you are providing your subconscious mind (your creative mind) time and space to play. After a good rest, you will not only have more energy, but you will also feel more creative.
